“Breast cancer” remains the leading cause of death among Thai women.
Recognising the significance of this issue, Dr. Kris Chatamra, Director of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer (QSCBC), together with Khunying Finola Chatamra, Honorary Adviser to the Centre, launched a nationwide project, “The Breast Health Awareness Campaign”, to encourage Thai women to prioritise their breast health and become more aware of the risks of breast cancer.
This project has been running for over 15 years, supported by collaboration from prominent figures across various fields. Many have participated in photographic sessions, and the project has been honoured to have Mr. Amat Nimitpark (Yai) as the photographer. These images serve as promotional material and advocacy for the campaign; every picture is accompanied by valuable information about breast cancer in easily understood English, emphasising the importance and necessity of early breast cancer screening for Thai women.
