The Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer recently hosted a commemorative event in honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, fostering a feeling of comfort for breast cancer patients through the aesthetic sensation of classical music.

Dr Kris Chatamra, Director of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer, graciously organised a commemorative event in honour of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, to mark the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s 93rd Birthday Anniversary on 12 August 2025. Throughout the month of August, patients and members of the public were invited to pay their respects and extend heartfelt well-wishes before Her Majesty’s portrait, reverently displayed in the main hall on the 8th floor of the Centre.

On 21 August 2025, a live classical music ensemble performed as part of a special event to bring comfort to patients undergoing chemotherapy, creating a serene and uplifting atmosphere throughout the Centre. On this occasion, Dr Kris, together with Dr Kitwadee Saksornchai, Radiation Oncologist, personally visited patients, inquiring about their well-being, and presented commemorative portraits of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother. This warm and thoughtful gesture was deeply appreciated, bringing immense comfort to patients, nurses, and staff.
