More information– New Patients: If you do not have a King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital patient card, you must first register at the ground-floor registration counter in the Phor Por Ror Building. Please inform staff that you wish to be examined at the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer, Vongvanij Building, 2nd Floor.
– Existing Patients: If you already have a hospital patient card, you may walk in for an examination at the Vongvanij Building, 2nd Floor. Services are available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
– Increasing age, especially over 40
– A family history of breast or ovarian cancer
– Inherited gene mutations (e.g., BRCA1-2 )
– A personal history of abnormal breast cells (e.g., Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia) found in a previous biopsy.
1. Medical History Assessment: Discussing your personal and family health history with a doctor.
2. Breast Diagnosis: Performing tests such as a mammogram or ultrasound.
3. Biopsy: Taking a small tissue sample for laboratory analysis to confirm the presence of cancer cells.
Treatment for breast cancer is comprehensive and may include a combination of surgery, radiation therapy (radiotherapy), chemotherapy, and hormonal therapy.
